Abatement Supervisor – Edmonton

Nucor Environmental Solutions is actively looking for abatement supervisors in the Edmonton area. Supervisors will act as the main contact for all field personnel and be responsible for all materials and tools on the site. Site Supervisors are responsible for overall safety on site. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the hazardous materials abatement industry.

Site Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that abatement work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities will also include reporting on activities to the General Superintendent, maintaining the site to ensure workplace safety, an inspection of materials and equipment to ensure proper working conditions, and efficiently storing all materials. Other responsibilities will include the scheduling, tracking and coordination of materials delivery, management of resources, and the maintenance of accurate records with performance reviews.

Qualified applicants must have strong knowledge of industry regulations and Type 3 Asbestos Certification. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Resumes to be sent to info@nucorenv.ca.

Education and qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Asbestos Abatement experience

  • High School Diploma or GED- Preferred

  • OHS for Asbestos worker Certificate

  • Fall Protection Certificate

  • Hold a valid class 5 license

  • Confined Space

  • Valid first-aid certificate

  • Leadership For Safety Excellence – preferred

  • Arial Platform Certificate

Hourly wage, $30.00 - $32.00/hour, commensurate on experience and valid certifications, plus benefits (after probation period). You will be paid weekly.
