Health and Safety is our number one core value. We recognize the importance of training and employing qualified and competent field personnel to ensure safe and healthy work sites. Nucor dedicates a significant amount of our resources to our people, including:
• Site-specific orientations and training on every job site, no matter how large or small.
• Ongoing specialty “above and beyond” safety training with industry expert instructors.
• Investment in top of the line safety equipment.
• Scheduled, thorough safety equipment inspections and testing.
All field staff are trained to industry standards and receive ongoing training upgrades as part of Nucor Environmental Solutions’ “Environmental, Health and Safety Program.”
Green Hands Program
Everyone has to start somewhere. Nucor Environmental Solutions has adopted a ‘Green Hands for Green Hands’ program, which clearly identifies and partners new or young workers with experienced personnel.
Continual Training
Nucor Environmental Solutions’ emergency response teams undergo constant rigorous training. They are ready to mobilize out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to emergencies of any size, land or water.
Ongoing Education
If there’s a way to better educate our people, we’ll find it. Nucor Environmental Solutions invests in a wide range of safety and professional development programs that far exceed industry and regulatory minimums.
COVID-19 Protocol
We have put several protocols and policies in place at all Nucor Environmental Services Ltd. offices in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
